Both the new light and dark mode color schemes were chosen with accessibility in mind. Both color schemes satisfy at least WCAG conformance level AA for normal text, large text, and graphics. Sadly, due to Squarespace’s limitations, the site does not fully comply with the WAI-ARIA specification. Keyboard navigation is possible on most pages.

While the current implementation works seamlessly in the background, we are aware that some users wish to switch the color scheme manually. There are plans to implement a manual toggle, but this introduces a set of issues that could be hard to mitigate.
